Why me?

My aim is to give support for the family in the home to build up confidence and independence. I have recently retired and plan to use my skills to help on an individual consultancy basis.

In my professional life I trained as a nurse, midwife and Health Visitor, gaining an MSc in Disability Studies, and have spent over 30 years working with families in a variety of situations. In addition to this I am a registered foster parent and CRB checked.

In my personal life I have survived motherhood, which was not without its difficulties over the years, and now have three grown up children.

I draw on my experience in Post Natal Groups, Sleep and Behaviour Clinics, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Change and more. Working within the voluntary sector and education, I have taught nursery nurses on NNEB courses, run a respite care agency, worked for the Children's Society and established activity schemes for children and teenagers with learning disability.

"I cannot thank you enough for your words of wisdom and practical advice to get me and my family back on track"
