What I'm all about

An aspiring web developer looking to kickstart my career

After leaving university I decided to move to London and found a job as a programmatic trader. During 2020, I decided to take the step to turn a long term hobby into a career. After spending many of my evenings in lockdown working on unity, I rediscovered my love for programming and the challenges it brings. Their programme came when I decided to take action and found JustIt, who provide web and software training. This course has allowed me to develop my skills and helped me to develop a variety of technical and creative projects. After having learnt the basics of both front and back end development, I decided to further develop my front end skills due to its visual nature.

For my masters I focused on pure mathematics and the intricacies of geometry within continued fractions.

Many of my modules allowed me to experiment with programming, where I learnt how to apply python and R in a variety of different scenarios.

Towards the end of 2020, I finally decided to pursuit my goals and take the step to turn my hobby into a career.

With Just IT I've been able to develop my front-end skills and create projects I'm proud of and have enjoyed.

    2015 - 2016 (Summer)
    • Provided technical support to a team of actuaries.
    • Managed and organised daily customer queries involving investing policies and backdated records.
    • Standardised, re-branded and repaired a variety of spreadsheets and macros.

  • Tutor

    2015-2017
    • Tutored students throughout my first and second years of university, aiding with Maths A-levels and GCSEs.
    • Helped students predicted a C grade achieve a B+ in their final examinations.

  • Housekeeper

    • Responsible for cleaning rooms, changing linen and providing an excellent standard of customer service to guests at Premier Inn.
    • Proud to be part of a team, recognised for having the top customer cleanliness satisfaction rating in the North East.

  • Programmatic Trader

    2019-date
    • Responsible for managing and trading a portfolio of dozens of programmatic advertising campaigns, working with companies such as Nikon, TFL and the Metropolitan Police.
    • Managed budgets of up to 120k a month, using large quantities of data to ensure each campaign is optimised regularly and setup to fit the clients targeting brief.
    • Maintained strong relationships with clients through sending weekly reports, answering questions and putting together detailed insights that help drive and support important business decisions.
    • Working with a team of traders and analysts to optimise workflow across multiple departments including the creation of tools used to automate several daily tasks.
